Our Mission Statement illustrates that we value faith and love, justice, tolerance, forgiveness, respect, compassion, leadership, co-operation and perseverance.
As a community we uphold these values. Ours is a lived mission statement that forms an important part of all of our relationships and how we treat each other.
The policies listed in the diagram below (available under the Policies section) support Student Wellbeing in the College:
Guidelines for Students:
The focus of Mt St Michael's College is on creating a community where the values that engender life and respect are encouraged.
We encourage students to choose behaviours which indicate a respect, not only for others, but also for themselves. We also aim to foster within each student a sense of self-worth and a respect for the worth of others.
As with any society, the College has certain expectations in terms of the behaviour of our students.
The guidelines for acceptable behaviour are contained in the Student Responsible Behaviour Policy and in the College Diary which students will receive at the commencement of the year.
Home Room teachers will discuss these guidelines at the commencement of the year and explain to the students how they are to be addressed.
We also encourage parents and guardians to become familiar with the contents of the dairy.
