Five Year 10 students (Dorsa Abdolalipourghodsi, Keeley Murphy, Cleo Sharman, Siobhan O’Byrne and Gabrielle Brown) recently competed in the State Round of the Australian Brain Bee Challenge (ABBC) at the Queensland Brain Institute. They studied information on neuroscience and used this information to compete in individual and team challenges. Cleo Sharman was selected to compete in one of eight teams with students from other Queensland schools in the final round of the Challenge. In addition to the competition, our students toured the laboratories at the Queensland Brain Institute and listened to research scientists discuss their work in the field of neuroscience. The ABBC aims to inspire students to learn about neuroscience research and explore career opportunities in this field.
