Last week, as part of the Life Coaching Program, Year 11 students had the privilege of engaging in a workshop on Mindful Learning presented by Mr Manish Singhfrom the Brisbane Mindfulness Centre. The workshop was a combination of theoretical and experiential learning.
Manish Singh is one of the most experienced Mindfulness teachers in Australia. He grew-up in California, in a family with a history of Mindfulness practice stretching back millenia and he went on to study biology at university. His teaching integrates the traditional practice of the ancient east, with the latest science of the modern west.
Students came away with practical strategies and skills to understand and manage stress, cope with challenges, and practice mindfulness on a daily basis in order to lead a more balanced life.
