Lord Mayor’s Young Environmental Photographer of the Year Awards

This year the Lord Mayor’s Young Environmental Photographer of the Year Awards focused on Brisbane’s waterways

and how we use this precious resource, challenging school students to capture unique and creative images, which show the beauty, connectedness and value of water in our river city.

Congratulations go to Megan Dale(Year 11) and Alex Humphries(Year 12) for taking on this challenge and making it through as finalists in this year’s Awards.

The official awards ceremony will be held at the Collectors Café, Queensland Museum on Thursday 16 June 2016 and after this all twelve finalists will have their work being part of a roaming exhibition around the city:

• Queensland Museum Collectors Café – Fri. 17 June to 26 Sun. June
• Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre – Mon. 28 June to Mon. 11 July
• Mt Coot-tha Gardens Richard Randall Art Studio – Wed. 13 July to Wed. 27 July
