Who We Are
The Mt St Michael's College Parents and Friends Association (P&F) is an integral part of the school community. We support the College Leadership Team - and through that, the students: our daughters.
Membership is open to all parents of current students at MSM.
Read our constitution which sets out the aims and objectives common to P&F Associations within Catholic schools, the rules for membership, elections and voting, management of finances and how meetings and issues should be discussed, debated and resolved.
We meet on the third Monday of the month at 7pm in the Sophia Centre's seminar room. The P&F committee is elected at the annual general meeting, held in November.
MSM is a member of the Federation of Parents and Friends Associations of Catholic Schools Queensland.
What We Do
Our activities serve dual purposes: they bring the community together and raise valuable funds for the college. The P&F supports college functions such as Orientation Day, Welcome morning tea and Open Day. We also organise social events - school dances, parents' dinners and theatre nights.
The funds we raise help the college in its ongoing quest to provide the best educational facilities in the best possible learning environment for our students.
We are also a voice for the school on matters of wider community importance.
Recent Achievements
- At the February 2010 meeting, the P&F handed over $35 000 towards the aquatic centre refurbishment.
