Drama Club
The Mt St Michael's Drama Club provides the opportunity for students to participate in drama and performance based activities with a focus on developing skills through voice and movement training, characterisation exercises, play-building, script reading and drama games.

It allows students to develop skills and confidence in performance, public speaking and group work in a relaxed and informal atmosphere outside of College hours.

The Drama Club embraces the college ethos by promoting co-operation, team work and College spirit amongst students from all year levels by encouraging participants to work together towards a common goal.

Students in the Drama Club do not need to be studying Drama to benefit from the program. It is open to all students regardless of experience or perceived skill, as it gives students the opportunity to choose to focus on areas of individual interest.

Members of the Drama Club may prefer to take part in the games-based and collaborative play-building aspect, focusing their abilities on the work involved in the preparation and production of a short play.

Drama Club operates throughout the school year

DramaFest is an exciting competition that is a culmination of the work that is produced from Drama Club, with terrific prizes and an opportunity to showcase skills developed as an individual or within a group.

Guest judges from the Arts industry adjudicate this event, providing key tips to inform future work. Drama Club participants as well as students from Year 7-12 are invited to be part of this annual festival.
