Our enrolment pathway provides a clear and structured journey for families, from initial application through to the offer and acceptance of a place.
The steps below outline key stages, timeframes, and requirements to guide you clearly through each part of the application process.
Step 1 – Birth to Year 3: Applications Received
Mt St Michael’s College welcomes applications for enrolment from birth.
Applications must be submitted using the official Mt St Michael’s College Application for Enrolment form, which can be completed via the Apply Online page on our website.
A non-refundable Application Fee is payable as part of the online process and must accompany the application.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact enrolments@msm.qld.edu.au.
Step 2 – Year 3: Application Review
Families will be contacted as their daughter is completing Year 3. At this stage, applicants will be asked to update any details provided in their original application and submit additional supporting documents, such as recent report cards and NAPLAN reports.
Please note that it is important to inform the College Registrar at enrolments@msm.qld.edu.au as soon as possible if any contact details provided to the College change during this process.
Step 3 – Term 1, Year 4: Enrolment Offer and Acceptance
Applications are carefully reviewed and processed when your daughter is in Term 1 of Year 4, based on the information submitted in the Application for Enrolment. This review will be conducted at the same time for all applicants, regardless of whether they have applied for Year 5 or Year 7 entry.
Please note, only complete Applications for Enrolment can be assessed, and enrolment interviews do not form part of this process.
Written Offers of Enrolment are issued to families during Term 1 of Year 4.
Families who have applied for Year 5 entry and indicated Year 7 as an alternative intake may receive an offer for either year level.
If a place cannot be offered, parents and guardians will be notified in writing and invited to join the enrolment waitlist.
IMPORTANT: To accept an offer, families must return a signed Enrolment Acceptance Contract and pay the non-refundable Enrolment Acceptance Fee.
Step 4: Enrolment Commitment
A non-refundable Enrolment Commitment Fee, which will be deducted from tuition fees upon commencement, is payable. This fee represents a mutual commitment between yourself and the College.
For students commencing in Year 5, the Enrolment Commitment Fee is payable in Term 3 of Year 4.
For students commencing in Year 7, the Enrolment Commitment Fee is payable in Term 2 of Year 6.
Step 5: Transition to Mt St Michael’s
For students commencing in Year 5: A range of transition activities, including a Parent Information Evening, “Welcome to MSM” Family Interview and Student Orientation, are held between August and November in the year prior to commencement.
For students commencing in Year 7: A range of transition activities, including an Orientation Morning, “Welcome to MSM” Family Interview and Student Transition Morning, are held between August and September in the year prior to commencement.
