The objects of the Alumni Association is the advancement of education in accordance with the educational philosophy of the Sisters of Charity.
Mt St Michael’s College was founded by women of faith in response to a need. This need was that young women should have the opportunity for an education which would enable them to pursue the ideals of “Faith and Love” in their personal lives through a study of the traditions and teachings of the Gospels and of classical and contemporary fields of learning.
Many thousands of girls have received their education here. Former students can maintain their attachment to the College through the Mt St Michael’s College Alumni Association.
The association enables past pupils to maintain their ties with the Sisters of Charity and with the Mission established by the College. It also focuses on maintaining the link between the College and former students as well as providing a vehicle for past students to keep in contact with their classmates. Activities include assistance with organisation of reunions, publication of a newsletter, providing a half-bursary for the education of a student, promoting important events in the life of the College community as well as providing cash donations to those past pupils who wish to continue the work of Mary Aikenhead by volunteering at home or abroad to assist those in need. To find out more about the Alumni Volunteers Fund, please contact email@example.com. In the future, we hope to have an Online Directory so that past pupils can catch up with old friends again.
We extend to you an invitation to join the Alumni Association. We hope to see you from time to time in the future and encourage you to become involved in the ongoing life of the College.
